Things I Bought

Apparently there’s a lot of it.

Turntable: Cheapest (new) piece of shit I could find.  I got it from zZounds as a “blemished” item. Turns out the box was dented.  Could not find a scratch on it, and works perfectly fine.  Not very fancy though, but it plays.

Shoes: These are my new “dancing” shoes.  Got tired of my Converse having no support and falling apart.  And they don’t look like clown shoes.  But they made my ankles bleed.  Now Amazon things I want to buy guy clothes. =\

Pile of Records: Went on an adventure to the closest record store, was pleasantly surprised.  Last time it didn’t turn out so well.  This time…. Daft Punk! Discovery!  The Steve “Silk” Hurley album I got is also amazing.  Everything else is amusing, and came from the overstock bin (half off!) MFSB, Patti LaBelle, Tavares, and Thompson Twins.  Oh yeah, and Blackouts.  To balance out that disco. Now it looks like I have a vinyl collection, anyway.  The Versaport is also in that pile.  Totally necessary, and works pretty well.  Been a bit flakey so far, but when it’s working, it seems to stay working. Which is good.  Might be having a slight driver issue, not really sure.  Or a Traktor issue.  Can’t tell.

Headphones: Now I can look like a dj.  They sound nice, and keep my ears warm.  And fold up all tiny.

Le Knight Club: It finally arrived! So happy.  I LOVE LE KNIGHT CLUB.  Coral Twist is my favorite.  It’s not their best, but it’s my favorite.  So now I can have that all nice.

Bedroom DJ: Yeaaaaah.  Controller.  I got it working, it’s pretty nice.  Fun to play with.  I like the way those jog wheels feel. I’ll have to use it more to say more about it.  Maybe next month I’ll go to open DJ night.

I’d say no more buying shit for a long time, but there are several more records in the mail.  But from this point on, I think I’m cut off from myself.

That’s lies, I totally have plans to go hunt for records in Chicago soon. >.>
